Although it depends on geographic location, in warm climates, blueberries start to ripen in the spring. The health benefits of blueberries are extensive and they are lower in sugar than most fruits. Every morning I like to start my day with a fresh green smoothie. Alkalizing greens and fresh veggies are a great way to start the day and keep you energized.
