Protein Plus Breakfast Oats

Now that it is getting a bit cooler in the mornings, it’s nice to have some warm breakfast options on hand that will nourish the body and Alkalize you at the same time!  This nutrient packed oatmeal will get you off to a great start for your day.  

Serves 2


  • ¾ cup old fashioned gluten-free oats (I like Bob’s Redmill brand)

  • 2 cups Ionized Alkaline Mineral Water

  • Dash of sea or Himalayan salt

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • One handful of almonds or walnuts – chopped

  • ¼ cup shredded coconut

  • 1 scoop Vanilla Sunwarrior Protein Powder

  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp. flax seeds

  • 2 tbsp. Xyla (sugar substitute)

  • 1 cup nut milk of your choice

Directions:  Place water in medium pan and add salt.  Boil water on high heat, and then stir in oats.  Lower heat to low.  Add in cinnamon, vanilla and chia seeds.  Cover and allow the oats to cook for a couple of minutes.  Stir in ½ cup of the nut milk and the rest of the ingredients and cover again until all of the liquid is absorbed.  Divide into bowls and add the rest of the nut milk.
