Salad Seasoning

Summer is here and it’s a great time make more delicious salads.   Create your own salad boosters to perk up your veggies.  Below is one of my personal favorite mixes but feel free to add your own flair!

What you need:

  • Recycled Spice Bottle
  • Turmeric
  • Italian seasoning
  • Cumin
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Dill
  • Sea Salt

Directions:  Put in the desired amount of the spices together and mix well in a small bowl or in the spice bottle.  Mix well in the bowl or cover and shake in the bottle.  Store in a cool dark cupboard.  Sprinkle on your salads and enjoy!  I keep a bottle with me at work to spruce up my lunch salads.  It’s fun to add spirulina and chlorella if you have some on hand.  You can also add nutritional yeast and hemp seeds.  The possibilities are endless.  I like to use a lot of turmeric and cumin as they are wonderful natural anti-inflammatories.
